For the highest quality and comfort of using PERKA design's jewellery is handcrafted with Sterling Argentium® Silver.
What is Argentium® Silver?
Argentium Silver was invented by Master Silversmith, Peter Johns at Middlesex University, London and patented in 2005. The traditional sterling alloy (92.5% of silver and 7.5% of copper) is modified by removing some of the copper and adding the germanium.
Attributes of Argentium® Silver:
Argentium's 935 grade set new purity standards for silver (93,5 % of silver is in Argentium).
Argentium Silver is brighter and whiter than platinum, white gold, palladium and traditional Sterling (often jewellery made of these alloys is plated with rhodium what makes it whiter than the real colour of the alloy, but in time plating wears off).
Argentium silver does not require plating and is the natural colour of pure silver.
Argentium Silver is low maintenance, easy to care for and simple to keep clean.
Argentium is a better suited for those who are unable to wear traditional sterling silver.
Argentium Silver is made from ethically sourced silver.
